Four presentation formats are currently available from Mr. Dillon. The formats ready for immediate scheduling include: 1. Heritage: An Unexpected Visit by John Wesley - an interactive sermon-dialogue between Mr. Wesley and his host minister, lay person, or adult SS leader. Run-time is approximately 20-25 minutes covering Mr. Wesley's 'admonitions' for Ad Board members, SS/youth workers and congregants; his early life and the beginnings of Methodism; the challenges inherent in remaining faithful to Methodism's heritage; and several additional relevant Wesley messages for today's Methodists. Designed for use in Sunday worship service or adult SS settings and presented in full costume. 2. A Visit with Mr. Wesley - a program presented both in and out of character covering an overview of the Wesley portrayal ministry; relevant research regarding Mr. Wesley's personality, costume and quotations; and the Wesley 'heritage' and 'challenge' monologues from presentation #1. Estimated run-time is 30-40 minutes and was developed for adult/youth SS or UMYF settings. 3. Confirmation Lesson with Mr. Wesley - a variable length presentation drawing from formats 1 and 2 with additional emphasis on the confirmation process and the importance of church membership. Run-time can vary from 20-45 minutes and is tailorable to accommodate desired messages and allotted time in the confirmation class setting. 4. A Celebration of John Wesley - a 45-60 min. program of Wesley music, stories, and worship including program #1 above. Arranged for an informal setting, e.g. Sunday evening program, and is led by the host minister and Mr. Dillon working both in and out of the Wesley character. Suggested fee for this program offering is a free will offering taken during the program and split equally with the host church. Click to review program outline.
